5.9 Liter GTS 928 Engine Build (High RPM)

     This 5.9L engine build is specifically designed for high rpm use. We modify the Porsche GTS crankshaft by drilling new oil passageways and overbore the cylinder block. Our unique new piston solution uses a 104+ mm bore for larger displacement and a special piston skirt friction coating developed for jet aircraft engines and proven in Mercedes Benz engines of the same cylinder wall alloy as the 928. We also offer a ceramic coating to the piston crowns that limits heat transfer to and thus the expansion of pistons, which combined with the skirt coating allows a very close tolerance fitting of the piston to the cylinder bore for long life, quiet operation, and extended piston ring seal.

     This breakthrough allows us to use custom forged pistons in our 5.4L 928 engines, offering the highest quality and complete design flexibility. Wiseco and Ross are widely regarded as having the most advanced forging construction technology for street/track pistons. We have developed several custom spec ring packages, with materials specially suited to the Alusil cylinder bores and an oil ring package that, in conjunction with the piston design, increases the efficiency of the oil control package. We also have options for different 2-piece compression ring packages to increase combustion sealing and power. All of these modifications take advantage of current, improved engine technologies.

     This is a premium quality engine build with the best components and extreme precision in the machining and blueprinting of the engine. We have developed tooling and machining technologies that produce extremely accurate cylinder bores that will give outstanding ring seal and long life.
